From Santa Barbara we were headed south to Newport Beach to visit my good buddy Doug and his wife Katy.
We had to take care of some digital nomad work in the morning, so we didn't get into Newport until almost 5pm which worked out well since Doug and Katy had to work that day.
After giving us a tour of their house they treated us to dinner at The Side Door, which was lovely! As it was a school night, we called it an early night.
